Toyota Back At Nampo 2015

The Nampo Harvest Day is a highlight on the agricultural calendar, and for years, Toyota South Africa Motors will be right there. Toyota South Africa will resume their prime position for the 2015 show.

"Historically the agricultural community has always been very supportive of Toyota brand especially the Toyota Hilux. They were the first to buy into the Stout bakkie when Dr Albert Wessels brought it to the country more than 50 years ago. It is important to us to continue to foster the relationship with this community, and this is one of the many reasons we are at Nampo every year," says Nicole August, Senior Manager for Promotions and Sponsorships at Toyota South Africa Motors.

This year the Toyota stand will comprise a merchandise section, a vehicle display of popular vehicles and the ever-popular 4x4 feature, Urban Tracks. The merchandise section will give all Nampo visitors an opportunity to purchase exclusive Toyota merchandise including a newly introduced Hilux range, genuine leather jackets, wallets, purses and various bags. The vehicle display will feature vehicles from Toyota, Lexus and Hino with brand ambassadors as well as technical advisors available. For the thrill seekers, Urban Tracks, a 4x4 track specifically designed to demonstrate the 4x4 capability of Toyota vehicles, will run throughout the show.

In addition, the Toyota Free State Cheetahs will be on the stand for photo opportunities and autograph signing.

Toyota is also the official sponsor of the Toyota Young Auctioneers Competition in collaboration with Veeplaas. Auctioneers are an integral part of the livestock industry but it is a difficult industry to enter into. Seven regional rounds are carried out to find the best budding auctioneers around the country in four different categories. The finals will be held at Nampo with the winner of the Junior category joining the Tri-Nations Auctioneers competition.

"We are excited to give a budding auctioneer the opportunity to compete with the best in the world. We believe this competition will pave the way for the winners to enter this highly competitive industry," concludes August.

The Nampo Harvest Festival runs annually in Bothaville in the Free State from 12 - 16 May.
