Overview
SRS side airbags/SRS curtain shield airbags instantaneously deploy when impact from
the side that exceeds a certain magnitude is detected. Together with occupant protection
through the seatbelts, the airbags help reduce the impact that the head and chest
receive when colliding with a door, center pillar, or other objects from outside
the vehicle.
Make sure to correctly fasten the seatbelts to ensure effective occupant protection
performance with the SRS airbags.
